Karen

A lifelong resident of Will County, Karen Stukel has served as your Will County Recorder of Deeds since 2008.

Karen is recognized as a leader in the State of Illinois among County Recorders as evidenced by her selection as President of the Illinois Association of County Clerks & Recorders.

Since being elected, Karen has been touted for operating her office’s budget well within its means and promoting fiscal responsibility.  She brought to the office a new land records management system, put in place a disaster recovery system, instituted a property fraud detection program, implemented the honor rewards program for Veterans, and modernized the office’s operations.

Prior to serving as Recorder of Deeds, Karen had over 15 years of small business management experience.

Karen is a graduate of Joliet Central High School and is the proud mother to three adult sons including Zach, Michael, and Jordan.
